The Power Rangers franchise is the brainchild of Haim Saban, creator and producer of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series that launched in 1993. Following its introduction, Power Rangers became the most-watched children's television program in the U.S. and remains one of the top rated and longest running kids live-action series in TV history. The series follows the adventures of a group of ordinary teens who morph into superheroes to save the world from evil. Saban Brands has also partnered with Lionsgate to develop and produce a Power Rangers live action feature film franchise, with the first film slated for release in 2017. With more than two decades of continuous success, this iconic superhero franchise has become a global phenomenon, with fans of all ages.
Saban’s Power Rangers Dino Super Charge
Power Rangers Dino Super Charge premiered in the U.S. on Jan. 30, with new episodes airing Saturdays at 12 p.m. on Nickelodeon. Saban Brands is also extending its partnership with Nickelodeon to serve as the official broadcaster for the Power Rangers television series in the U.S. through 2018 and recently announced Power Rangers Ninja Steel as the title for the 24th season of the series.
Saban’s Power Rangers Dino Charge
The 22nd season premiered in 2015 around the world. In this season, a new team of Power Rangers must find 10 powerful Energems, originally entrusted to dinosaurs millions of years ago, and use their Dino Chargers to power up an arsenal of dino-fueled battle gear, Zords and Megazords to save the world! This TV season includes 22, 22-minute episodes.
Power Rangers Cast Members Revealed
The highly anticipated Power Rangers feature film stepped into the spotlight when the first five cast members were announced via the official Power Rangers movie Instagram account, Cast Reveals. The new Power Rangers team includes Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger and Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger.
